Pizza Hut Indonesia opened its first restaurant in 1984 at Djakarta Theater Building, Thamrin area, Jakarta. In 2000, this first Pizza Hut restaurant was moved to Cakrawala Building in the same area, until now. Today, Pizza Hut operates 255 restaurants spread across Indonesia, from Aceh to Papua.

In 2007 PT Sarimelati Kencana decided to expand the field of business to include PHD, Pizza Hut Delivery. PHD was the first delivery only franchise to open operation in Indonesia and continues ot dominate the segment.
